Angelica Panganiban opened up about having an avascular necrosis
ANGELICA PANGANIBAN – The Kapamilya actress turned emotional as she opened up about having an avascular necrosis.
The actress appeared in the latest episode of “Magandang Buhay” where she opened up about her battle against avascular necrosis – refers to “the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply” as defined by Mayo Clinic.
It was last month when she revealed through her vlog that she’s on her road to recovery from avascular necrosis.
In an interview with “Magandang Buhay” hosts, Angelica said that she underwent an MRI and it was confirmed that she had an avascular necrosis.
“Nung naririnig ko ito, wait lang magte-37 pa lang ako. Tapos ngayon pa lang natutupad ang mga pangarap ko sa buhay. Sabi ko, ‘bakit naman medyo unfair?’ Gusto ko pang i-enjoy ang mga ibinibigay sa akin,” she said.
According to her, she looked for a more conservative approach so she doesn’t have to go through the scary surgery. She also said that the procedure that was done to her was to put stem cells on the dead bones in her left and right hip, saying that she’s getting better after the treatment.
Angelica shared that her doctor said it will be about 8 weeks before she feels the comfort she has been looking forward to for almost a year. The actress also admitted that she got scared for her daughter.
According to her, she wonders how her daughter can enjoy her as a mom if what she can do is limited because “disability” is the answer if she doesn’t have undergone a surgery. She added that one should just look for a solution until there’s a solution.
