Beatrice Gomez on joining beauty pageants
BEATRICE GOMEZ – The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 titleholder said that she’s no longer keen on joining beauty pageants.
The Cebuana beauty queen, who modelled for Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco at his fashion show on Monday, said in an interview with ABS-CBN News that she’s focusing on modeling and her businesses.
“Hindi na, I’m doing a few businesses so I’m focusing on that and modeling,” she said.
Beatrice said this even after the Miss Universe organization has changed its qualification requirements for the said competition. It can be recalled that the Miss Universe Organization has scrapped the age limit for candidates and allowed mothers to join.
Cinco showcased his latest collection at “The Impalpable Dream The Legacy Gala” – a charity fashion event held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on Monday.
At that time, Cinco unleashed 57 haute couture looks for men and women, which took him 4 months to create. According to him, his new collection was born out of his admiration for the heritage and culture of Spain.
Meanwhile, Beatrice shared her reaction on Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee’s performance at the Miss Universe pageant this year. She said that Michelle deserves to make it to the final cut because she was able to receive a lot of awards but she wasn’t able to make it.
“Lahat ng pinaghirapan niya, nag-work and it made us all proud,” Beatrice said.
