YEXEL SEBASTIAN – A photo of the toy collector and Senator Raffy Tulfo has recently resurfaced on social media, sparking various reactions from netizens.
Yexel Sebastian is a well-known YouTuber recognized for his claim of owning the “largest Optimus Prime bust in Asia.” Notably, he is the younger brother of the late fellow YouTuber, Jam Sebastian. Yexel has a notable background in dance, having been a former member of several dance groups, including Black and White Street Kids at Work to Beat Machine Higher Level, Street Boys, Sop Boys, and Jabbawockeez Fanatics.
One of Yexel’s significant accomplishments is his extensive toy collection, which has been on display in his toy museum since 1989. This collection consists of over 50,000 toys and an impressive 900 life-sized statues, all housed in Las Piñas. The four-story museum features a captivating array of miniatures and life-sized figures inspired by cartoons, animations, video games, and movies. Among its most prominent attractions is an 18-foot Optimus Prime bust created by Abet Valdecantos.
Yexel’s passion for collecting extends beyond his primary museum; he also opened a second museum named ‘Yexel’s Toy Collection,’ located within the Boom na Boom Complex in Pasay. Additionally, in December 2014, he introduced a third branch known as ‘Amazing Stories of Yexel’s Museum’ in collaboration with the Manila Ocean Park. However, it’s worth noting that some sources have questioned the reliability of Yexel’s claims regarding his collection of 50,000 toys and over 900 life-size statues.
Yexel has recently been a subject of online discussions after a group of overseas Filipino workers raised complaints against him and his wife, Mikee Agustin, on Senator Raffy Tulfo’s public affairs program, alleging involvement in an investment scam. Currently, the couple is in Nagoya, Japan, as confirmed by the Bureau of Immigration. BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco stated that no legal action or case has been initiated against them.
While Yexel has already shared his perspective on the issue, a photo of him alongside Tulfo has been circulating online, prompting mixed reactions from netizens.
