A male netizen has shared his encounter with a female senior citizen vendor in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Dinio Dagooc, a Facebook user, recently shared photos of a senior citizen vendor selling recycled “pamaypay” and bags. The post quickly circulated online and touched the hearts of the internet users.
In the photos, the elderly vendor identified as Nanay Marits can be seen selling her handmade fans and bags crafted from recycled materials in the parking lot of the renowned Guadalupe Church.
Nanay Marits’ creative use of recycled materials not only showcases her resourcefulness but also demonstrates the importance of sustainability and environmental consciousness.
Dagooc and his friend came across Nanay Marits during one of their visits to the area. They were touched by her hard work and creativity. The group decided to support her by purchasing some of her items.
The male netizen took to social media to share her story, hoping to spread awareness about Nanay Marits’ incredible journey.
“I decided to post to show appreciation of what Nanay did because we all know na not all [are] gonna appreciate [it], and it’s quite seldom what she [does]. Despite the challenges Nanay Marits might face, she is really fighting fair and square,” Dinoo said.
