Boxing Highlights: Eman Bacosa vs. Jommel Cudiamat
EMAN BACOSA – The alleged illegitimate son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao previously made his professional boxing debut.
It was on September 23 when Bacosa faced Jommel Cudiamat. The former earned attention on social media after several posts claimed that he is an illegitimate child of the legendary eight-division champion, with some pointing out that he is following in his “father’s” footsteps.
Bacosa fought Cudiamat under the promotion “Blow by Blow,” which is connected to Manny Pacquiao. Many drew comparisons between him and Pacquiao. Some said that although he somehow possesses the speed of the boxing icon, he still lacks power. However, many gave him the benefit of the doubt, suggesting that he still has time to improve.
As per the fight, there were times when Eman Bacosa dropped to the ground. This led some netizens to argue that his contender had actually won the fight. In the end, judges declared the game a “split draw” which means that two judges believe one fighter won the bout, and the third judge believes the other fighter won, resulting in a draw overall. In this outcome, the fight is officially recorded as a draw, and neither fighter is declared the winner.

Meanwhile, if the reports about Eman and Manny are accurate, Bacosa would become the second child of the boxer-former politician to enter the boxing ring. It is worth noting that Pacquiao’s eldest child, Jimuel, has already participated in amateur matches.
To recall, in 2006, Joanna Rose Bacosa, Eman’s mother, stepped into the public spotlight, revealing her past romantic involvement with Pacquiao. She recounted their meeting in March 2003 at a Manila hotel, where she worked as a waitress.
According to her, their relationship resulted in the birth of their child. Joanna Rose also asserted that the financial support she had been receiving from Pacquiao had abruptly ceased, prompting her to file charges against him for failing to provide child support. However, the court ultimately dismissed the case, citing insufficient evidence to pursue charges against Manny Pacquiao.
