“Rosalinda” Actor Fernando Carrillo: “I really believe that… there’s so much talent in the Philippines”
ROSALINDA ACTOR — Venezuelan actor Fernando Carillo said that he wants to create a Filipino version of BTS.
Fernando is an actor who played the role of “Fernando Jose” in the Mexicanovela “Rosalinda”. The Venezuelan actor appeared on Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”.
To recall, pep.ph reported that Fernando said he and his team will be holding a reality show.
Fernando said in an interview with Boy Abunda that he’s looking to create a Filipino version of BTS.
According to him, his team will be searching for 3 women and 3 men who will form a pop group that is similar to the Mexican pop group “RBD”. He added that the auditions for the search will start “next week”.
The Venezuelan actor also spoke about his trust in Filipino talent, saying that he believed “there’s so much talent” in the country.

In the same interview, Fernando heaped praises for Mexican actress Thalia — his “Rosalinda” leading lady who was also known for starring in “Maria Mercedes”, “Maria la del Barrio”, and “Marimar”.
“I haven’t seen Thalia in a while because she’s based in New York with her beautiful family, with her husband and kids,” he said. “But whenever I need her for something, she’s a queen.“
He added that he respects Thalia and also respects not only on the way she handles her career but also on the way she handles her family.
Aside from this, the Venezuelan actor admitted to “dating” broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez in the past. While he didn’t disclose further details about their dinner, Fernando told Boy Abunda that it happened during his past visit in the Philippines.
