Paolo Contis: “When the whole crucifixion started, she had every opportunity to leave [me], but she stayed”
PAOLO CONTIS – The “Bubble Gang” comedian recently shared the reason why he fell in love with actress Yen Santos.
It was last October 2021 when his ex-partner LJ Reyes confirmed their breakup. The actor then confirmed his relationship with Yen earlier this year.
Paolo is the celebrity guest in the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast where he spoke about his relationship with the actress. The interview was recorded last April 27, 2023 but was premiered on YouTube last May 30, 2023.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Paolo said that he fell in love with Yen because she chose to stay with him even though she had the opportunity to leave him.
“When the whole crucifixion started, she had every opportunity to leave [me], but she stayed,” he said. “Ang laki-laking bagay kasi nung mga time na ‘yon, pinag-uusapan namin ‘yun na mahirap, yes, nagkaroon pa nga ng time na nag social media hiatus [siya].”

The actor-comedian also said that they did everything they could not to get affected by the noise despite all the issues in 2021.
When asked about their new relationship, the actor said that he and Yen are heavily focused on their privacy and not minding opinions of other people.
In the same interview, Paolo said that he still wants to tie the knot one day but he has a condition for himself before that happens — to fix everything first, including his life and his past relationships.
According to him, it’s important to have a good relationship with the mothers of his kids — former EB Babe dancer Lian Paz and the recently engaged LJ Reyes.
