Vice Ganda Reacts to Dismissal of Charges Filed by Deniece Cornejo Against Vhong Navarro

Here’s the reaction of Vice Ganda on dismissal of charges filed against Vhong Navarro

VICE GANDA – The Unkabogable comedian and It’s Showtime host reacted to the dismissal of charges filed by Deniece Cornejo against Vhong Navarro.

The Supreme Court’s 3rd Division recently dismissed the model’s r@pe and acts of lasciviousness charges against the actor-television host.

The ruling, issued on February 8 and made public on March 13, overturned the Court of Appeals’ previous decision from July and September 2022, which directed the Department of Justice to prosecute Navarro.

Cornejo’s 2014 complaint against Navarro had previously been dismissed by the DOJ due to inconsistencies in her affidavits, but the CA overturned this decision. Despite the inconsistencies in Cornejo’s statements, the SC determined that the CA made a grave error in ordering the revival of the r@pe case.

“Indeed, no amount of skillful or artful deportment, manner of speaking, or portrayal in a subsequent court proceeding could supplant Cornejo’s manifestly inconsistent and highly deficient, doubtful, and unclear accounts of her supposed harrowing experience in the hands of Navarro,” the Supreme Court said.

Among those who were happy on the decision of Supreme Court is no less than It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda. In an episode of the noontime show, he said: “Ang saya-saya nating lahat. Sabi ko nga sa chat, very joyful, victorious and meaningful day, hindi ba? Ang daming messages ng pangyayari na ‘yon, isang pangyayari lang pero ang daming messages na sini-send out sa atin ng Panginoon doon. Just keep the faith.”

The comedian added as per Philstar: “Haharapin mo ang pinakamabigat na ganap sa buhay pero at the end you will win because I am with you, ‘yun ang sabi Niya, hindi ba? Ang bigat-bigat nang pinagdaanan mo sobrang bigat, hindi ba? Pero hindi ka nag-iisa, nandiyan. Sabi nga nila if it’s not good it’s not the end because everything will end good. Ganda. Ang saya natin. Let’s keep the faith.”
