Amid criticism Alex Gonzaga has been receiving, singer Kris Lawrence came to defend her
KRIS LAWRENCE – The singer defended Alex Gonzaga who’s being criticized for smearing cake to the waiter’s face during her birthday-salubong.
The sister of Toni Gonzaga has been receiving tremendous criticism due to her issue. She had been called many names such as “insensitive”, “entitled” and to name a few.
While many are criticizing her, Kris Lawrence chose to defend the actress-host. In fact, he even had exchange of words with netizens and stressed that the waiter will benefit from the issue.
Kris, the singer who rose to fame after winning the Search for the Star in a Million, gave his sentiment after news outlet Inquirer.net posted on Instagram the incident involving Alex.
Lawrence was among those who commented on the post. He pointed out that the waiter will get “something” once the controversy is done.
“People always have something negative to say. Let’s fast forward and after this event that waiter just went viral, will probably get ‘something’ after, and a LOT of sympathy. Most recognition he ever got as a waiter,” he said.
“So after all the noise…i’m sure he will be grateful that this happened. Looks like people just like to extract the negative out of things instead of Positive,” he added.

Meanwhile, Alex Gonzaga has yet to personally air her side regarding the issue. But recently, their camp thru publicist Peter Ledesma explained the Gonzagas’ side on the controversy.
