Male Student New COVID-19 Patient in General Santos City

MALE STUDENT – A 22-year-old young man tested positive for coronavirus or COVID-19 in General Santos City.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected almost everyone’s life. Quarantine measures are still up in the Philippines now limiting the movement of the people in the pursuit to curb the spread of the disease.

Currently, there is a total of 20,626 cases of coronavirus recorded in the country. Out of the total, 987 deaths were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) while 4,330 patients have already recovered.

Several cities in the Philippines got confirmed cases of coronavirus. Recently, General Santos City recorded another case of the disease.

Male Student COVID-19

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the SOCCSKSARGEN Region Center for Health Development confirmed that another case of COVID-19 was recently recorded in General Santos City. The patient is a male student who got stranded in the city.

According to Mayor Ronnel Rivera, the 22-year-old student who is considered as a “locally stranded individual” or LSI arrived in the city last May 31. He traveled through plane and was from Cebu.

Based on the report, the male student initially showed no symptoms of COVID-19. He was quarantined in a facility in General Santos City. However, later on, the student started exhibiting signs of the disease.

Meanwhile, the local government assured that the student is in a good condition now. A contact tracing is currently conducted as he was with over 100 passengers on board the plane that brought him to GenSan.

The new COVID-19 case in GenSan is the second case of the disease recorded in the city. It is the 28th case of the region.
