Rita Avila: “PBBM is still a child. A needy child”
RITA AVILA – The actress took to social media wherein she criticized President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for being “jealous” of his own son.
On November 13, PBBM addressed the Filipino community in Cambodia. At one point, he said he was “jealous” of his own son, Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, as the audience searched for the presidential son.
According to him, it also happened during the campaign period as people would tend to ask where is Sandro, rather than him. “Kayo talaga, nagseselos na ko eh.. Nung kampanya ganyan din,” he quipped.
While he was joking when he said such things, actress Rita Avila was not pleased with the president’s statement. Although it was a joke, the actress stated that the president appeared to be acting like a child in front of the Filipino community in Cambodia.
She said the people should wait that he grows into a happy and content man. “Jealous of his own son? Even as a joke, PBBM is still a child. A needy child,” she said. “Antay tayo that he grows into a happy and content man,” she added.
