DSWD CASH GIFT FOR CENTENARIANS – The government agency is seeking funds for almost 600 people who will be turning 100 years old.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is giving a P100,000 incentive for Filipinos who will reach the age of 100. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo recently revealed that his office has written to the Office of the President as they sought funds for almost 600 centenarians. He also stressed that it was already raised during the budget hearing at Congress so it would be included in the 2023 budget of the department. DSWD has several other programs that the government agency funds.
