Amid concert announcement, assault controversy of Eraserheads guitarist Marcus Adoro resurfaces
MARCUS ADORO – The assault controversy of the guitarist of Eraserheads resurfaced following the concert announcement of the band.
Eraserheads is a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989 composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan.
The band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music.
Earlier, the members of the band announced that they are holding a reunion concert.
Following the announcement of the upcoming reunion concert of the legendary OPM band, fans took to social media to express their excitement for the highly anticipated show.
While many fans were overjoyed by the news, there were those who couldn’t help but notice Marcus Adoro’s inclusion in the reunion despite his controversial past.
Fans, in particular, cited assault allegations leveled against him by his former partner Barbara Ruaro, an indie actress, and his own daughter syd hartha, a singer-songwriter.
syd hartha stated that she had previously suffered at the hands of her father.
Amid the outpouring of love on social media, Barbara and syd hartha took to Twitter to thank their supporters.
“Thank you. THANK YOU. Thank you to every single person who chose not to turn a blind eye. Thank you for praying with us and for us. Thank you for making sure that we feel your massive support, whether we know each other personally or not. Justice belongs to The Lord,” Barbara tweeted
syd hartha, on the other hand, noted: “Salamat sa mga di nakalimot.”
The reunion concert of Eraserheads will take place at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on December 22, 2022.
