Eraserheads is a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989 composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan.

The band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music.

Earlier, the members of the band announced that they are holding a reunion concert.

Raymund Marasigan, the drummer of the band, admitted to the music website Bandwagon that meeting the other Eraserheads members again was awkward.

“Tahimik eh. Walang usap,” he said.

“The four of us are awkward together ever since — it’s nothing new. We’re not comfortable without equipment. We’re not comfortable with each other,” he added.

Unsurprisingly, music helped to put them at ease. Raymund pulled out a portable speaker and began playing music. The first song they played was “Mundo” by IV of Spades, and they then went through a wide range of music, from Rivermaya, which made the four of them laugh, to Run the Jewels.

On Monday morning, each of the four members took to social media to announce their upcoming reunion concert in December.

This will be the Eraserheads’ first performance since their 2008 reunion concert, which was cut short due to frontman Ely suffering a heart attack. They eventually returned to finish the show.

The Eraserheads disbanded in 2002. The group is the behind the hit songs “Ang Huling El Bimbo“, “With a Smile”, “Pare ko”, “Ligaya” and to name a few.
