Here’s the reason why Slater Young left showbiz
SLATER YOUNG – The former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) big winner who’s now a vlogger-entrepreneur revealed the reason why he left showbiz.
Slater rose to fame when he became the big winner of “PBB: Unlimited” in 2012.
After his PBB stint, he ventured into acting. He became part of the television series, Juan dela Cruz, A Beautiful Affair, E-Boy and to name a few.
However, his showbiz career did not go well after he decided to leave the limelight.
In an interview with Karen Davila thru her YouTube channel, Slater revealed the reason why he suddenly left showbiz.
According to him, he joined PBB because: “I was working for my father that time and it kinda felt like a routine na lang. “
“I go to the office and trabaho and then go home. I wanted to step out from my father’s shadow. That was the whole premise behind it,” he added.
Slater Young believed that the “madlang pipol” voted for him to become the big winner because people saw him as a leader among other housemates.
“Ako lagi ‘yung pinagkakatiwalaan. I feel like that was part of it,” he said.

Slayer took home P2 million pesos after winning PBB and he deposited almost all his winnings to the bank.
Joining the said Kapamilya reality show helped him boost his self-confidence.
He said that he left showbiz because for him, he has no depth of that skill set or the talent to actually be able to act, sing, and dance.
“After PBB when I decided ayaw ko na mag-artista, I wanted to do something different so that’s with the whole construction thing. I was doing manufacturing of lightweight concrete, LiteBlock,” he shared.
