Meet Private Moirah, a Miss Q & A contestant who’s a former soldier

PRIVATE MOIRAH – The Miss Q & A Contestant surprised the judges, hosts and viewers of the gay pageant on It’s Showtime after revealing that he’s a former soldier.

It was on September 10, 2022 episode of the noontime show when he joined the said pageant.

At one point, he revealed that he was a former soldier.

“I’m the first openly-gay trainee sa Philippine army,” he told the show’s hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, and Kim Chiu.

“For almost three years po nag-serve po ako sa military,” he added.

Private Moirah was part of the 7th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.

And becoming part of the “Miss Q and A” was a dream come true to the former soldier.

In the said pageant, Private Moirah became the daily winner but failed to defeat the defending queen.

Private Moirah has left the service and is now a civilian, whose mission is to fulfill the rest of his dreams in life.

However, he is still in touch with his seniors in the Army.

“Meron pa rin akong communication sa kanila pag kinukuha nila akong host, emcee, choreographer, and make-up artist po,” he said.

It was on June 18, 2020 when Private Moirah, or Ramon Mangaoang Jr. in real life, opened up about his life throught YouTube vlog.

According to him, he came from family of soldiers from his grandfather, unles, his father, cousins and siblings that’s why they had expectations that he will follow their footsteps.

But at an early age, he discovered: “Sobrang lambot ko talaga, dzai.”

To make the long story short, he became an army.
