ABS-CBN has formed a partnership with South Korean companies to search for the next male pop group who will make their debut in the international arena.
On September 5, ABS-CBN business unit heads Marcus Vinuya and Reily Santiago, ABS-CBN TV production head and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, KAMP Global CEO Tim Kim, and MLD Entertainment CEO Lee Hyung-jin signed a contract to produce the reality talent search show “Dream Maker”.
The search for aspiring idols will commence on Saturay, September 10, through the Star Hunt audition caravan and people abroad can also audition through online. It’s open to males with ages 13 to 22.

According to a report on ABS-CBN News, direk Lauren shared that they’re “cooking something big”.
“It’s a reality competition that will be searching for a new male pop group that will be launched internationally, specifically to debut in Korea,” direk Lauren said.
The ABS-CBN executive said that their partnership with South Korean companies is a one step forward towards fulfilling their goal of bringing Filipino talents to the global arena.
Hyung-jin believed P-Pop (Pinoy Pop) will be on the rise after K-Pop. He also highlighted that while they’re looking for a P-Pop group, they’re looking for a global group at the same time.
Based on the report, MLD Entertainment is the one who launched South Korean pop girl groups Lapillus and MOMOLAND.
