Michael Pacquiao Misses Brother Jimuel’s Wedding to Help Earthquake Victims in GenSan

Michael Pacquiao Skips Family Wedding to Respond to Earthquake Crisis in General Santos

Michael Pacquiao was unable to attend the wedding of his brother, Jimuel, following a strong 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck General Santos City. Instead of joining the family occasion, he immediately focused on assisting individuals affected by the disaster.

Rather than participating in an important family event, Michael prioritized the urgent needs of residents impacted by the earthquake. As a public servant and a member of the Pacquiao family, he directed his efforts toward relief operations and support for those who were severely affected by the incident.

According to Joyce Tan Custodio, who is reported to be his girlfriend, the decision was not easy, particularly as it meant missing a significant family milestone such as a sibling’s wedding. However, she stated that his choice reflects a strong sense of responsibility and compassion for others, demonstrating his commitment to service during times of crisis.

“Missing an important family moment was not easy, but your commitment to serving others speaks volumes about the kind of leader and person you are,” she said. “Not everyone will understand the sacrifices you make or the challenges you face, but I see your dedication, your compassion, and your commitment to helping others,” she further stated. “No matter what challenges come our way, I will always be here beside you and believing in you,” she stressed.

She further noted that not everyone may fully understand the sacrifices involved in his role, but she expressed admiration for his resilience, dedication, and continued willingness to help those in need, even amid criticism or misunderstanding.

In her message, she affirmed her support and confidence in him, emphasizing her appreciation for his sincerity and determination to assist affected communities during difficult situations.
