Angelika Dela Cruz Warned to Quit Vice Mayoral Race
ANGELIKA DELA CRUZ – The actress and public servant revealed that she and her family had received a serious threat, allegedly related to her candidacy for Vice Mayor of Malabon.
In a Facebook post on Friday, May 9, Angelika shared a photo showing three bullets and a handwritten note warning her to withdraw from the race. The message read: “Angelika Dela Cruz, mapagpalang araw sa ‘yo!! Umatras ka na sa laban ng Vice Mayor ng Malabon!! Kung hindi alam mo ang kahihinatnan mo at ng pamilya mo!!”
Along with the post, Angelika expressed frustration, saying, “Siniraan , kinasuhan ngayon naman tinatakot anong kasunod ?!! Grabe na pati family ko dinadamay ninyo.”
Netizens expressed a mix of outrage, concern, and support following Angelika Dela Cruz’s revelation of the death threats. Many condemned the act of intimidation, calling it cowardly and a desperate move by political rivals. Others voiced their concerns for Angelika and her family’s safety, urging her to take extra precautions. This is not the first challenge Angelika has faced in her political career. She is currently facing a plunder case filed by the Office of the Ombudsman, involving the alleged misuse of over ₱70 million. She is also facing an administrative complaint for reportedly neglecting her duties and delegating her responsibilities to her brother, a barangay councilor, without proper authority.
Despite the pressure, Angelika remains determined to fight for her position and continues to speak out against the threats and accusations. Her supporters continue to encourage her to stay strong and prioritize her safety amid the tense election atmosphere.
