Dennis Padilla Leaves an Angry Comment on Julia’s Post
KAPAL NYO – Actor-comedian Dennis Padilla left an angry comment on his daughter Julia Barretto’s Instagram post.
Dennis has once again drawn attention online, this time for expressing his disappointment at being treated as a mere guest at his daughter Claudia Barretto’s wedding instead of being honored as the “father of the bride.” The wedding took place on April 8, 2025, where Claudia married her longtime boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo.
While the rest of the family joyfully celebrated the event, Dennis turned to social media to vent his frustration. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he wrote: “GRABE KAYO!! NABUDOL NYO AKO! FATHER OF THE BRIDE NAGING VISITOR! GALING NYO!”. He posted this message twice before eventually deleting it, but screenshots had already circulated online.

His disappointment didn’t stop there. On the morning of April 9, Dennis left a sharp comment on his daughter Julia Barretto’s Instagram post—even though it had nothing to do with Claudia’s wedding. Simply stating “Kapal nyo”, Dennis aired his frustrations publicly before deleting the comment. However, followers were quick to capture it and repost it on social media.
Julia appeared unfazed by the controversy. Just hours after her father’s comment, she reposted a video to her Instagram Stories, showing a joyful moment with her half-sister, Dani Barretto, during Claudia’s wedding reception. The background music in the video was the upbeat track “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin—perhaps a subtle message about staying positive and moving forward.

Dani is Marjorie Barretto’s daughter with actor Kier Legaspi. Meanwhile, Julia, Claudia, and Leon are Dennis’s children with his former wife, Marjorie.
Adding to the speculation about his emotional state, Dennis also deleted a previously uploaded photo of his recent reunion with Julia, Claudia, and Leon. Many netizens believe this reflects his deep hurt over the perceived rejection at Claudia’s wedding.
