Herlene Budol Sought Therapy After an Issue with Rob Gomez
HERLENE BUDOL – The actress sought help from a psychiatrist after dealing with an issue involving her former “Magandang Dilag” co-star, Rob Gomez.
During the press conference for Binibining Marikit on February 3, she shared that she went through therapy to help her handle the emotional impact of the situation. Herlene explained that the therapy helped her understand why some people, like Rob, might want to bring others down.
She described the accusations against her as heavy and difficult to deal with at the time. However, she mentioned that she has since moved on and is now focusing on improving her acting skills. “Nagpa-psych ako para mas ma-process siya nang maayos sa ‘kin [kung] bakit may mga ganoong klaseng tao na kailangan kang hilahin pababa,” Herlene said. “Mabigat po na paratang sa akin kaya mahirap ‘yung sitwasyon ko noon,” she added.
The controversy involving Rob Gomez became widely discussed toward the end of 2023 after screenshots of his private messages with Herlene, Bianca Manalo, and Pearl Gonzales were leaked. All those involved in the issue reacted to the accusations from netizens. Despite the tough situation, Herlene has moved forward by concentrating on her personal growth and career, leaving the past behind.
Meanwhile, Herlene Nicole Policarpio Budol, popularly known as “Hipon Girl,” is an actress, comedian, model, and beauty queen. She rose to fame after becoming a regular co-host on the Philippine variety game show Wowowin, where her humor and charm captured the audience’s attention. Her breakthrough came when she joined the segment “Willie of Fortune” on the show, leading to her becoming a permanent co-host.
In addition to her television career, Herlene has ventured into acting, appearing in shows such as Magpakailanman and Madrasta, and landing a lead role in the GMA series Magandang Dilag in 2023.
