Man Dies After Alleged Harmful Chiropractic Session
LEOBERT MANGUBAT YURONG – A resident of Zayas, Brgy. Carmen, has passed away following a chiropractic session that allegedly caused him harm.
His family is now seeking justice for his death. According to reports from Bombo Radyo CDO, Yurong suffered a severe fracture in his leg after the chiropractic treatment last year. Instead of improving, his condition worsened, leading to complications that ultimately resulted in his death.
A video posted by Yurong went viral on social media, where he appealed for financial assistance to cover his hospital bills. In the video, he reached out to the chiropractor who had treated him, but the chiropractor, who claimed to be from the Zamboanga Peninsula, stopped responding and failed to provide the promised help. The hospital that treated Yurong confirmed that his leg had suffered a serious fracture, which should have been treated with stainless steel plates. However, due to a lack of funds, this procedure was delayed.
In light of this tragedy, Yurong’s family is urgently calling for justice and the immediate identification of the chiropractor involved. They hope that this case will be thoroughly investigated to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
Meanwhile, chiropractic therapy has gained popularity as an alternative treatment for body pain, especially for the back, neck, and joints. Many people rely on this service due to its quick effects and the fact that it typically doesn’t require medication or surgery.
However, despite its success, there are risks associated with unlicensed practitioners who lack the proper knowledge or credentials. This highlights the importance of ensuring that the chiropractic provider is licensed and legitimate before undergoing any treatment. It is essential for individuals to verify the qualifications of practitioners to avoid potential harm and ensure effective and safe care.
