LANY Spreads Joy as Fast-Food Crew Members at Jollibee
LANY – The pop rock band surprised their Filipino fans by serving as fast-food crew members at a Jollibee branch in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) on Friday, October 11, 2024.
The American pop band, consisting of members Paul Klein and Jake Goss, created a buzz as hundreds of fans gathered at the Jollibee BGC Triangle Drive to catch a glimpse of them before their concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan scheduled for Saturday, October 12.
In a viral video on social media, fans were seen filling both the inside and outside of the Jollibee location, excitedly waiting to see the band members up close. During their surprise visit, Paul and Jake not only served food but also took the time to give autographs. The atmosphere felt like a pre-concert celebration, with LANY’s popular tracks, including “XXL” and “Cause You Have To,” playing in the background, accompanied by enthusiastic singing from their fans.
LANY expressed their astonishment at the overwhelming support from their Filipino audience, with Paul and Jake seemingly taken aback by the large turnout. The band shared a compilation of video clips from the surprise event on Instagram, captioning it with a heartfelt message, “Mahal kita sobra! See ya tomorrow [Philippine flag].”
In addition to their concert in Bulacan, LANY is set to bring their “A Beautiful Blur: The World Tour” to the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino on October 13, 14, and 15. The band last visited the Philippines in November 2022 for a five-day sold-out concert at the Mall of Asia Arena, marking another significant moment in their connection with Filipino fans.
Meanwhile, LANY is a pop-rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California. Established in Nashville in 2014, the group features Paul Jason Klein as the lead vocalist and guitarist, alongside drummer Jake Clifford Goss. The band’s name stands for “Los Angeles, New York,” symbolizing their connection from L.A. to New York. Their music incorporates a mix of genres, such as alternative rock, indie pop, synth-pop, dream pop, pop punk, and pop rock.
