Wendell Ramos Introduced by Sam Versoza as a ‘Councilor’
WENDELL RAMOS – The actor has generated interest in a possible run for councilor of Manila’s District IV in the upcoming 2025 elections.
This speculation began after he appeared with Sam Versoza at a charity event on September 19, where Sam introduced him as a “councilor.” Although many thought Wendell was just backing Sam’s campaign for mayor, his introduction suggested his own political goals.
During the event, Wendell expressed thanks for being part of the charitable distribution of goods, highlighting his long-term commitment to community service. He mentioned wanting to expand his charitable efforts, a value instilled in him by his mother, who taught him the importance of giving back. Wendell also noted his current television projects, including the afternoon drama series “Shining Inheritance,” and shared his wish to positively impact the community.
While Wendell did not directly confirm his candidacy when asked by Cabinet Files, he emphasized that he is a genuine resident of Manila and has been actively involved in local initiatives. He was seen attending Mass at San Loreto Church in Sampaloc, further strengthening his ties to the community.
Wendell clarified that his visit wasn’t only about supporting Sam; it was also a way to show appreciation to the people.
Meanwhile, Wendell Ramos is an actor. He started his career in showbiz in 1995 as a cast member of the comedy show “Bubble Gang,” becoming a well-known figure in Philippine entertainment. Wendell gained popularity as a “matinee idol” and has appeared in various TV dramas and films, including notable roles in “Ako si Kim Samsoon” and “La Vendetta.”
Throughout his career, Wendell has worked with several networks, primarily GMA Network, but he also spent time with ABS-CBN and TV5. He is recognized not only for his acting skills but also for his modeling work, having been featured in campaigns for brands like Bench.
