On July 21, 2024, Dindo Balares, an entertainment editor and close friend of Kris, shared details of his recent meeting with Bimby and Joshua on Instagram. Dindo revealed that Bimby had plans to enroll in a school in the Philippines and was also exploring opportunities in show business. Many expected Bimby to stay longer in the country, as announced by Kris during an interview with Ogie Diaz in Orange County, California. However, his quick return to the US surprised many followers, who were curious about the sudden change.
Dindo noted that Bimby was enthusiastic about his potential career in the entertainment industry, even asking about young actresses he could work with. Dindo mentioned that Kris wanted Bimby to experience a normal life, including regular schooling. However, a brief message from Kris prompted Bimby and Joshua to return to California to be with their mother. Kris had shared with Dindo that her recent blood test results were concerning, indicating serious health issues.
