Awra Briguela is Allegedly Partying Again
AWRA BRIGUELA – The actor-comedian has become the center of social media discussions following a comment criticizing him for supposedly partying again.
A netizen remarked on his post, suggesting that his partying habits would lead to his downfall. “Awra party party kananaman diyan nanaman kapahamakan mo.” In response, Awra clarified that he no longer parties like he used to, explaining that the event in question was the opening of the new dance studio of A-Team/Zero Studio, not a party. “FYI po, I don’t party anymore. Opening po yan ng new dance studio ng A-Team/Zero Studio.”
Awra’s clarification comes in the wake of a significant incident in his life. He was previously involved in an altercation at a bar, which resulted in his being jailed for a few days. This incident marked a turning point, prompting him to make substantial changes in his lifestyle. Awra shared that since the incident, he has stopped frequently partying and has become more cautious about his actions to avoid potentially harmful situations.
Vice Ganda, who has closely observed Awra’s transformation, noted that he has become more responsible and now prioritizes his well-being and image. He believes that the challenges Awra faced have strengthened him both as a person and an artist.
Meanwhile, Awra Briguela is an actor, comedian, singer, and dancer who began his career in 2016. He gained recognition for his role as MakMak in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2016–2019), chosen by Coco Martin. His life was featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2016, and he won the first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids in 2017. Initially an internet celebrity known for impersonating actresses, he was discovered by Martin and joined the cast of Ang Probinsyano, winning two Aral Parangal Awards for Best Child Performer. He debuted in the film The Super Parental Guardians (2016) with Coco Martin and Vice Ganda. Raised as a boy, Awra showed signs of being gay from a young age and reportedly identifies as a trans woman by 2023.
