GENEVA LOPEZ – A contestant in the Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga 2023 pageant has been reported missing. According to a Facebook post by Li Dsc, Geneva was last seen on June 21, 2024, and the last contact with her was around 3 PM.
“Nasan ka, mi? Tingnan mo, libu-libo ang nagdadasal para sa’yo. Maraming nagmamahal sa’yo. Balik ka na sa amin, please,” Li wrote. “Lord sayong mga kamay inihahabilin kopo mga pamangkin ko naway ligtas po sila saan man po sila naroon,” she added.
The post includes heartfelt messages urging Geneva to return and prayers for her safety. Geneva’s aunt, Presy Carreon Lopez, mentioned that Geneva had traveled to Capas, Tarlac, with her boyfriend. The post has garnered widespread attention with thousands of shares, and concerned netizens and locals in Tarlac have volunteered to assist in the search. However, as of now, there is no update on Geneva Lopez’s whereabouts.
It can be recalled that last year, Catherine Manguerra Camilon, a model, schoolteacher, and beauty pageant winner, went missing while driving from Tuy to Batangas City for a meeting. She was last seen on October 12, 2023, at XentroMall Lemery in Lemery, Batangas, and later contacted her mother from a gasoline station in Bauan. Witnesses reported seeing her unconscious and bleeding body being moved from her car to another vehicle, leading authorities to investigate her disappearance as a kidnapping.
The Philippine Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, led by Senator Raffy Tulfo, issued a subpoena ad testificandum to Police Major Allan de Castro and his driver-bodyguard Jefrrey Magpantay, the main suspects accused of kidnapping and illegal detention. De Castro was subsequently dismissed from his position on January 16, 2024.
