Boss Toyo buys the FAMAS trophy of Niño Muhlach for only P500,000
NIÑO MUHLACH – The former child actor and entrepreneur, sold one of his awards from the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) to Boss Toyo for P500,000.
Boss Toyo plans to showcase Muhlach’s FAMAS award in a museum he intends to set up. The negotiation happened during an episode of Pinoy Pawnstars last Monday, where Muhlach visited Boss Toyo’s shop in Quezon City to personally hand over one of his five Best Child Performer awards. “Aalagaan mo yan, irerestore mo yan,” Muhlach advised Boss Toyo.
Boss Toyo expressed his intention to restore Muhlach’s trophy, one of five FAMAS awards he received, to its original condition and display it in his museum, along with the award that another former child actor, Jiro Manio, sold to him a few months earlier.
Muhlach mentioned that it was Boss Toyo who showed interest in the award, leading to his decision to sell it. He stressed that Boss Toyo must take care of it and display it in his museum, as Muhlach had neglected to do so.
Boss Toyo considered Muhlach’s FAMAS award a prized possession, recognizing Muhlach’s significant contributions to Filipino entertainment alongside icons like Fernando Poe Jr. and Dolphy. Apart from the award, Muhlach also gave Boss Toyo some lobby cards from the movies he starred in and produced.
