Xian Lim Was Difficult to Work With According to a GMA Writer
BRYLLE TABORA – The GMA writer claimed that actor-director Xian Lim was difficult to work with.
Xian Lim is an actor, model, singer, host, blogger, filmmaker, basketball player, and director. Xian’s career began in the entertainment industry in 2008 with Star Magic, and he transitioned to Viva Artists Agency in 2018. Since 2021, he has been associated with GMA Network and TV5.
Xian’s acting career features a variety of roles across television and film. He gained prominence with significant parts in successful TV series such as “My Binondo Girl” and “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” and in films including “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” and “Bride for Rent.” He frequently co-stars with Kim Chiu, and their on-screen chemistry has earned them the nickname “blockbuster royalties.”
Aside from acting, Xian has also ventured into directing, with projects like “Tabon” for Cinemalaya 2019 and the commercial film “Hello, Universe!” in 2023. Xian’s personal life has been in the public eye, notably his relationship with Kim Chiu and, more recently, with Iris Lee, a senior associate producer at Viva Communications.
Brylle Tabora, who previously worked with Xian Lim on a project for GMA Network, described the actor as challenging to work with in a Facebook comment. Tabora’s remarks were made in the context of a post about Lim’s public acknowledgment of his relationship with producer Iris Lee. “He made our job as TV writers miserable,” Tabora expressed.
Tabora is the writer behind Descendants of the Sun. Brylle Tabora is known for Descendants of the Sun (2020), Artikulo 247 (2022), and Cain at Abel (2018).
To recall, there have been repeated instances of calling Lim’s professional conduct into question. One notable example involved Lim’s refusal to wear an “I love Albay” T-shirt after an event in Albay, which led to public criticism from Rep. Joey Salceda, the former Governor of Albay. Salceda recounted an incident where Lim stated, “I’m not here to promote Albay,” in the presence of many, despite the province having sponsored his appearances since 2011.
