Dina Bonnevie Speaks on Past Affair of Vic Sotto, Coney Reyes
DINA BONNEVIE – The veteran actress had doubled pain when her then husband, Vic Sotto, had an affair with her close friend, Coney Reyes.
The lives of Bossing Vic Sotto and his ex-wife Dina Bonnevie are open books to the public. The two (2) celebrities are a former married couple who separated a few years after their wedding. Their marriage lasted from 1982 to 1992.
Vic and Dina are blessed with two (2) children — Danica Sotto and Oyo Boy Sotto who both have their own families now. The former couple also have their own families now but, living the celebrity lives, it is never surprising for some talks down the memory lane whenever they attend guestings.
Recently, during her interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Dina Bonnevie talked about the past affair between her then husband Vic Sotto and actress-host Coney Reyes who’s also her friend. Coney Reyes, also an Eat Bulaga host before, was involved in the breakup of the former couple.
According to Dina, she was able to talk things out with Vic and Coney then when the affair happened. She claimed that the reason that her then-husband cited for it was her being “inexperienced”. The actress stressed that she was only 23 years old then.
Dina was 19 when she got pregnant with Danica and she became a mom at 20. When they were at the verge of their marriage, the actress said that she was not even in the corporate world. Later on, she believed that it was nothing physical but it was probably the mental connection that’s why Vic and Coney had an affair.
Then, both Vic and Coney share the same pursuit of producing films. During the interview, Dina admitted that she was bitter for quite a long time until she heard it directly from her daughter and that’s when she realized it.
Dina Bonnevie expressed that she has already forgiven Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. According to her, she even sent them flowers as she let them know that she has forgiven them. Both she and Vic have good relationships with their children and she ensured that she has always taught her kids to respect their father.
Dina and Coney were also able to rekindle their friendship. It started after the latter has invited the former to attend their Church. The veteran actress saw how she brings people to God and talks about salvation.
“So I asked myself, ‘Is this the person I’d like to hate?’ I can’t hate this person,” the actress said.
