The life story of Taylor Sheesh will be featured on ‘Magpakailanman’
Taylor Sheesh – The life story of the impersonator of Taylor Swift will be featured on “Magpakailanman” this coming Saturday, April 13.
The Filipino drag performer shared the news on social media and posted a preview of the episode. “Magpakailanman debut. This Saturday na!” the performer announced.
The episode, titled “Taylor Made Success,” will showcase Taylor Sheesh’s early life, from facing rejection from her parents to becoming the popular drag artist he is today. Comedian and host Boobay will portray Taylor Sheesh. The cast also includes Luis Hontiveros, Michael De Mesa, and Pinky Amador.
Taylor Sheesh gained worldwide fame for her impersonations of Taylor Swift after her viral performance at the Eras Tour in Trinoma, Quezon City. He was featured on shows like “Good Morning America,” Rolling Stone, Pop Crave, and Gay Times.
In an interview with GMA News Online, Taylor Sheesh expressed her surprise at the international attention he received. The drag artist has been enjoying a wave of success, including her first billboard, appearances on “It’s Showtime,” becoming the face of an international makeup brand, and performing internationally in Singapore.
“Taylor Made Success” on “Magpakailanman” premieres on April 13, Saturday at 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, “Magpakailanman” is a television drama anthology series aired on GMA Network. Hosted by Mel Tiangco, it premiered on December 2, 2002, becoming the network’s longest-running drama anthology. Initially created for the World Meeting of Families, it was revived in November 2012, featuring real-life stories of Filipinos.
The show faced a hiatus in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed in July 2020. It covers a wide range of themes such as love, family, and perseverance. The series has garnered various awards over the years, showcasing exceptional performances by actors and actresses, with notable achievements in acting and storytelling recognized by prestigious award-giving bodies.
