Netizen Claims Miel Pangilinan is Rico Blanco’s Daughter
MIEL PANGILINAN – The daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan responded to a comment that claimed she is the daughter of singer Rico Blanco.
Rico once dated actress-entrepreneur KC Concepcion, who is the eldest daughter of Sharon Cuneta and her former husband Gabby Concepcion. Their relationship lasted from 2003 to 2005. In 2004, Mariel Daniella Sophia Pangilinan, known as Miel, was born. A controversy then emerged, suggesting that Miel was the daughter of KC and Rico, and that this was supposedly hidden from the public.
This rumor has resurfaced recently when Miel Pangilinan posted on TikTok, expressing her gratitude towards her parents, Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan. “Thank [you] for creating me. I’m forever thankful for the support I get from the both of you, I am who I am because of you. I love you both forever and ever,” Miel wrote, accompanying her post with a throwback photo of Sharon and Kiko.
In the comments of her post, a netizen stirred up the old rumor, stating, “Anak daw yan ni Rico Blanco,” accompanied by several loudly crying face emojis. Miel responded playfully with, “Hindi daw sabi nya,” adding the same emojis.
Meanwhile, Rico Blanco is a musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. He first gained fame as a member of the influential Filipino rock band Rivermaya, where he served as the primary songwriter, keyboardist, and guitarist.
