MARCOS – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his wife Liza Marcos are all smiles at multi-awarded singer-songwriter James Taylor’s concert in Mall of Asia on April 8, 2024.

President Bongbong Marcos Jr. disclosed in an interview held in Bacolod City on Monday, that he had missed two planned dates with his wife and playfully mentioned facing the silent treatment from her because of it.

The politician expressed his determination to make it up to her upon his return from the United States, stating, “I have missed two dates. So I need to make it up to her when I come back from the States.”

Following that, Bongbong Marcos Jr. and his wife, Liza Araneta-Marcos, paused their hectic schedules to savor a romantic evening at James Taylor’s concert in Pasay City. The first lady later shared snapshots of their date night on social media, underlining the significance of cherishing quality time together.

Captioning her photos with sentiments such as “Listening to the timeless melodies of James Taylor,” Liza employed hashtags like #StillRockingAt76 and #IdolForever to express her admiration.

Additionally, she posted images on Facebook from their evening at the Mall of Asia Arena, labeling it “An evening with James Taylor.”

The First couple indulged in Taylor’s classic tunes such as “How Sweet It Is,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Smiling Face,” “Shower The People,” and “Fire and Rain,” relishing moments of love and delight.

Taylor reciprocated by expressing gratitude to his fans for their warm reception and reflected on his return to Manila following an extended absence.

“It took a very, very long time. Thanks for having us back,” Taylor said.

 It’s worth noting that the President and the first lady have previously attended concerts together, including Coldplay’s performance in Bulacan last January.
