Chicken Pastel Recipe

The first part of the chicken pastel recipe is the list of ingredients that you need to prepare. While the chicken pastel tastes like an expensive dish to cook, it is actually one of the sumptuous viands with affordable ingredients.

To cook for a dish that can yield up to four (4) servings, here are the ingredients that you must prepare:

  • 2 lbs chicken cut into cubes
  • 4 pieces hotdogs sliced
  • 1 piece Chorizo de Bilbao sliced
  • 1 piece carrot sliced
  • 1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 1 piece red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 piece potato cubed
  • 3/4 cup button mushroom sliced
  • 1 piece green bell pepper sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 15 ounces all-purpose cream
  • 1 piece onion chopped
  • 1 piece lime
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup water

The next part of the chicken pastel recipe is the cooking process. The cooking process may take around 50 minutes. Here are the steps on how to cook a delicious and creamy chicken pastel that you and your loved ones will surely love:

In a large bowl, add the chicken, lime, and soy sauce. Mix them well and marinate the chicken for at least half an hour.

Heat oil in a cooking pot and saute the onion and garlic. Once the onion has soften, add the chorizo and saute it for one (1) minute.

Add the chicken into the pot and saute it until it turns brownish in color. Add water and let it boil. Afterwards, add the Knorr Chicken Cube and stir. Cover the pot to cook the chicken for around 20 minutes.

Add the sliced hotdogs into the pot. Cook it over medium heat until the liquid reduces to half.

Add the carrots and potatoes and the all-purpose cream. Cover and cook it for eight (8) more minutes.

Add the mushroom and bell peppers. Stir it and continue cooking for three (3) more minutes.

Season your delicious and cream chicken pastel with ground black pepper and salt. Transfer it into a serving plate and serve it with warm rice. Enjoy your food!
