Benny Blanco Video Criticizing Jollibee Elicited Reaction From Pinoy Netizens
BENNY BLANCO – Lots of Filipino netizens reacted to the viral food review of American record producer Benny Blanco.
Benny Blanco, also known as Benjamin Joseph Levin, is a renowned American record producer born in the United States. Blanco has familial ties to the Philippines, as his stepmother is Filipino, and he has three step-siblings. Additionally, he is currently in a relationship with Selena Gomez.
Recently, Blanco received criticism on social media for sharing a TikTok video where he voiced his opinions about the popular Filipino fast-food chain, Jollibee.
In the video, Benny Blanco confessed to never having tried food from the establishment and provided some insight into his background, mentioning, “Not a lot of you know but my stepmom is from the Philippines so I grew up eating a sh*t load of Filipino food.”
Throughout the three-minute video, Blanco tried various items from Jollibee’s menu, including spaghetti, chicken, adobo rice, and pineapple juice. However, accusations of disrespect surfaced as the video depicted him criticizing the food and even spitting out the spaghetti.
Expressing his distaste, he remarked, “I feel like that’s ruined my night. Eww,” and conveyed dissatisfaction with the “limpdick ass fries.” While acknowledging the acceptability of the Peach Mango Pie, Blanco concluded the video by advising against trying the well-known Filipino fast-food chain.
The video attracted widespread attention online, prompting reactions from numerous social media users who labeled Benny Blanco as a “disgusting person.”
Established in the Philippines in 1978, Jollibee has expanded its presence to include 19 restaurants, with a total of 1,668 stores across 17 countries as of January.
