Parents of Baby At JK Labajo Concert Share Their Side
JK LABAJO – The parents of a baby attending a Juan Karlos concert in Tarlac have spoken out, providing reasons for bringing their infant to the event.
Juan Karlos Labajo, a Filipino artist recognized for his contributions to alternative rock music, showcased his compassionate nature during a performance by prioritizing the safety and well-being of a baby. His empathetic and caring act garnered praise from internet users.
On March 23, 2024, a Facebook user named ‘LifeofEs’ shared a video capturing the singer’s interaction with the baby in the audience. The video quickly gained popularity on social media.
In the footage, JK Labajo can be observed tending to the baby, expressing his concern regarding the loud music and explicit lyrics in one of his songs, “Ere.” The singer voiced his apprehension and questioned the parents of the infant about subjecting the baby to such distressing sounds from his music.
“Two months? Ba’t mo pinaparinig ng ERE yung bata? Two months pa lang. Maaga. Wag,” he remarked.
The parents of a baby attending a JK Labajo concert in Tarlac have spoken out, giving explanations for bringing their baby to the event. According to a report by GMA News, Niel Patrick Tubino and his wife Fyan revealed that JK’s music serves as a lullaby for their baby, Fiyana.
They further clarified that their baby is seven months old, not two, as previously implied. “Sabi ng netizens, 2 months lang ‘yung baby namin. Hindi siya 2 months. Mag-8 months na siya,” Niel said.
The couple also possessed footage from the same concert wherein JK was seen reading their banner, which read, “Kahit isang karga lang mula sa pinakabata mong fan, Kuya JK.”
Niel exclaimed, “2 months pa lang, kasama ka na nito!” which led JK to believe the baby was two months old.
Fyan mentioned that their baby had been a fan of Juan Karlos since she was merely two months old. She said, “May magandang song si JK na narinig ko sa ‘Senior High.’ Upon learning the title of the song, she quickly looked for it on YouTube, where the baby heard ‘Ere’”
“Naalala ko iyong sinabi ng pedia sa akin na ‘music can soothe babies, music can calm them, can make them relax.’ So ‘di ko naman in-expect na doon sa song na ‘yon ni JK, doon siya ma-re-relax. Every time na mag-pe-play ‘yon, napapansin kong tumatahimik siya.”
“Kasi si baby namin, very iyakin. So noong pinagtugtog ko ‘yong ‘Ere,’ bigla siyang tumahimik tapos hinehele ko, nakatulog. Noong paulit-ulit na ‘nong narinig namin, ginawa ko na siyang pampatulog. Nakita namin na tumatahimik siya once iyon na ‘yong song.”
