Quiboloy’s KOJC Appoints Duterte as Property Administrator
DUTERTE X QUIBOLOY – Former President Duterte has been appointed as the property administrator of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
This was announced by the media arm of KOJC, Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), last Friday, March 8. As of writing, there are no further details regarding Duterte’s appointment.
Quiboloy is currently facing allegations such as “child abuse” and “qualified trafficking,” with Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla recently stating that prosecutors in Pasig City and Davao City will file charges against Quiboloy regarding these cases.
In addition, during a Senate hearing on Tuesday, March 5, Senator Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, announced the ruling to hold Quiboloy in contempt for his failure to attend the hearing. The senator also ordered the pastor’s arrest after he once again failed to appear.
At the same hearing, Padilla expressed his opposition to Hontiveros’ ruling against Quiboloy, stating that eight signatures from committee members were required to invalidate the contempt order against the pastor.
On Thursday, March 7, Padilla named four more senators who signed a written objection regarding the contempt order against Quiboloy. These senators are Imee Marcos, Cynthia Villar, Bong Go, and JV Ejercito. However, a few hours later, Ejercito withdrew his signature after reportedly examining the facts and testimonies of the witnesses against the pastor.
Meanwhile, Quiboloy is the founder and leader of the religious group known as the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name (KOJC). He is a prominent religious figure in the Philippines, known for his charismatic preaching style and his claims of being the “Appointed Son of God.” Quiboloy founded the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in 1985 and has amassed a large following both in the Philippines and internationally.
