The first part of the beef with broccoli recipe is the ingredients. To cook this delicious viand that can serve up to four (4) people, prepare the following ingredients:

  • 1 lb. beef sliced into thin pieces
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced
  • 2 cups broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup cooking oil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cups water (optional)

You will have to marinate the beef for a really savory dish. Here are the ingredients needed for the marinade:

  • 1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cooking wine (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame oil (optional)

The next part of the beef with broccoli recipe is the cooking process. It may take around half an hour including the preparation. Here are the steps on how to cook beef with broccoli:

Marinate the beef. Add the beef, Knorr liquid seasoning, oyster sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and sesame oil. Leave the beef in the mixture for 15 minutes.

Add cornstarch and mix it well to blend with all the ingredients. Set aside.

Heat two (2) tablespoons of cooking oil in a pot. Add ginger and garlic and saute. Before the garlic starts to be brownish, add the broccoli. Stir-fry the vegetable for one (1) to two (2) minutes. Remove from the pot and set the broccoli aside.

Heat the remaining oil in the pot. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry it until it turns brownish. You may add water to further tenderize the beef. If you opt to add 1/2 to 3/4 cups of water, allow it to boil and evaporate.

Add ground black pepper and salt to taste. Add the cooked broccoli and stir-fry for three (3) minutes.
