Baron Geisler Reveals He Became a Fan of Cristine Reyes While in Rehab
BARON GEISLER – Actor Baron Geisler disclosed he became a fan of actress Cristine Reyes while in rehab.
Baron Geisler disclosed his admiration for Cristine Reyes and her movies “No Other Woman” (2011) and “The Gifted” (2014). He made this revelation during the press conference for their joint film project, “Dearly Beloved,” held at Viva Café in Cubao, Quezon City, on Wednesday afternoon, March 13, 2024.
Geisler recounted how he became a fan of Reyes while watching her films during his stay at a rehabilitation center, addressing his struggles with vices.
“To be honest, I’m a fan, fan ako ng movies ni Cristine,” said Baron.
“Alam niyo po kung saan ko pinanood? Sa rehab. This was years back.
“Ito yung time na akala ko wala na akong chance sa industriya. Akala ko, magiging fisherman na lang ako, mangingisda.
“Totoo yon. Kaya po na-starstuck ako kay Cristine kasi dahil yon sa movies na pinanood ko, kasama ko yung mga fellow recoveries sa rehabilitation center.”
Baron Geisler’s appreciation for Cristine is said to have deepened due to the positive traits she displayed on the first day of filming for “Dearly Beloved.” He mentioned that Cristine took the initiative to approach, introduce herself, and converse with Baron’s wife, Jamie Evangelista.
“Sobrang bait ni Cristine. Sa first shooting day namin, nandoon yung wife ko.”
After this, Geisler faced Cristine to personally thank her.
The actor said, “I wanna thank you because you made an effort to go to the sala and talk to my wife.
“Sobrang nakakatuwa yon and so humble of you to do that.
“Sabi ko, ‘Wow, ang galing!’ Nawala yung intimidation ko to work with you.”
Cristine had no knowledge of Geisler coming to her defense against online critics who claimed she was challenging to collaborate with. She learned about the incident for the first time during the media conference for “Dearly Beloved,” where Baron recounted his reaction to the negative comments on social media.
