Toni Rose Gayda has a revelation about her and Vic Sotto

TONI ROSE GAYDA – The former “Eat Bulaga” host has revealed something about her and Vic Sotto.

In an interview, Toni Rose revealed that Vic attempted to court her when they were together on the said noontime show. However, she said she didn’t allow it because she knew having a relationship with a co-worker was difficult.

“Hindi ko pinayagan,” said the former TV host. She explained, “Maybe, ganon (nagparamdam) konti. Pero kasi mahirap kung karelasyon mo ‘yung kasama mo, mahirap lalo for me kasi nga sabi ko selosa ako.”

Toni was a mainstay host of the Philippines’ longest-running show for almost two decades. However, she left the reality program in 2014 to focus on her family.

Toni Rose Gayda faced a challenging situation when her mother fell ill and both of her children were hospitalized for various reasons. Overwhelmed by these circumstances, she felt unable to give her best at work and ashamed in front of her superiors. Eventually, she discussed her situation with Malou Choa-Fagar, considering leaving her job or taking an indefinite leave to prioritize caring for her family, particularly her mother and children, who needed her attention.

Following that, the former EB Dabarkad expressed her gratitude for having worked with the TV host trio Tito and Vic Sotto, as well as Joey De Leon, better known as TVJ. “If there’s a blessing that I’d consider is nakatrabaho ko ang TVJ because ang sarap nilang katrabaho, ang sarap nilang kasama,” said Toni. She also shared, “Joey would really make you feel welcome. Si Bossing naman sobrang bait pero mahiyain.”

According to Bandera, Toni is the only child of FAMAS award-winning actress Rosa Rosal, who was dubbed the “original femme fatale of Philippine cinema.” Aside from “Eat Bulaga,” Toni also used to host “Supershow,” “Lunch Date,” “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko,” “ASOP Music Festival,” and many others.
