Quiboloy Must Attend Senate Hearing Says Bongbong Marcos

Quiboloy Must Confront Senate & House Hearings Over Alleged Abuse Claims Says President Bongbong Marcos

QUIBOLOY – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. urged Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to attend Senate and House hearings over alleged abuse claims.

Senator Risa Hontiveros pointed out the similarity between Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and Jey Rence ‘Senior Agila’ Quilario of Socorro Bayanihan Services, suggesting that both allegedly exploited their authoritative positions for personal gain.

Last year, a Senate hearing was convened to investigate complaints from purported victims of abuses attributed to Quilario.

On January 23, individuals who claimed to be victims of Apollo Quiboloy’s abuses were presented. These individuals were associated with the religious leader from Davao City and stated that they were instructed by someone named “Jacqueline Roy” or Jack Roy to serve Quiboloy.

They were informed that membership in the “pastoral” was a special privilege reserved for specific individuals, emphasizing that not everyone had the chance to be part of it. Additionally, they were asked about their readiness to make sacrifices, including their bodies.

Despite being summoned by the committee on women, Apollo Quiboloy declined to participate in the Senate investigation into alleged crimes, including s*xual abuse, within his Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC). Quiboloy argued that only a court, rather than a Senate hearing, has the authority to determine guilt or innocence.

Senator Risa Hontiveros, according to a report from Inquirer, stressed that Apollo Quiboloy should appear before the Senate inquiry to address the rape allegations made by some former followers.

On Wednesday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged Quiboloy to attend hearings in both the Senate and the House of Representatives to address the accusations against him and his groups.

“I would just advise him that kung meron naman siyang sasabihin, he has an opportunity both in the House and the Senate to say his side of the story. Sinasabi niya hindi totoo lahat ‘yan, walang nangyaring ganyan, edi sabihin niya,” BBM said in a chance interview.

Marcos mentioned that should he continue to evade the hearings, he could potentially be charged with contempt.

“Kung makakapunta siya, sagutin niya lahat ng tanong, edi tapos na. That’s why my advice for him is just face the questioning in the House and the Senate, marinig natin ang kaniyang side para malaman natin kung ano ba talagang nangyayari dito,” BBM said.

He also dismissed Quiboloy’s assertion that the United States plans to “eliminate” him, supposedly with the approval of Marcos.

“Walang gustong mag-assassinate sa kanya,” Marcos said.
