Tahanang Pinakamasaya – New Title of TAPE’s Noontime Show Sparks Reactions

Tahanang Pinakamasaya is the new title of TAPE’s noontime show

TAHANANG PINAKAMASAYA – The new title of the noontime show of TAPE Inc. has sparked reactions online.

Earlier today, TAPE’s Eat Bulaga aired on GMA Network bearing the new title. Their noontime show, hosted by Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, and others, is now known as “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.” This change followed the loss of Television and Production Exponents or TAPE, Inc. to the trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon in the copyright infringement and unfair competition case.

It will be recalled that the Intellectual Property Office or IPO canceled the trademark registration of the said production company for “Eat Bulaga” and “EB” after they failed to prove how they came up with the said trademark. Because of this, the agency upheld the explanation and testimony of the petitioners, Tito, Vic, and Joey (TVJ), on how they created “Eat Bulaga.”

Apparently, Isko and his co-host, Paolo Contis, did not discuss the change of title and instead continued with the surprises for the viewers. Meanwhile, the new title of the noontime show of TAPE is trending on the microblogging site, X, formerly known as Twitter.

One X user noticed the similarity between the logo of “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” and the defunct show, “Sunday Pinasaya.” Another netizen even threw shade at one of the hosts of the show, noting: “Tahanang Pinakamasaya daw pero ‘yung isang host walang kwentang haligi ng tahanan. Hindi nagsusustento. Urur!”
