Kind-Hearted Netizen Helps Elderly Man Struggling to Find Transportation
KINDNESS – A kind-hearted netizen earns praise online for helping an elderly man struggling to find a public transport.
Jhenjay-r Bnito Oribello, a Facebook user, shared a heartwarming encounter with an elderly man who was having difficulty catching a jeepney. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.
While waiting for a jeepney bound for Novaliches, Oribello noticed an elderly man asking a rag vendor, but the lady seemed annoyed and told him to wait as she wasn’t ready yet.
Feeling sorry for the elderly man, she asked him where he was headed. The old man said he was waiting for a jeepney bound for Nova. Since they were heading to the same destination, she offered to ride together.
Jhenjay-r shouldered the elderly man’s jeepney fare. She even accompanied the senior citizen heading to Capri. She gave him some money and he expressed his gratitude for what she did.
However, Oribello noticed that the old man was stopping frequently as he walked, seeming out of breath. So, she decided to walk with him and he was surprised because he thought she had already boarded the jeepney.
The female passenger escorted him to his designated transportation stop. The grandpa expressed his gratitude to Bnito for her kindness.
The kind-hearted netizen urged the public utility drivers not to reject passengers, especially the elderlies.
