Katya Santos and her non-showbiz boyfriend got engaged
KATYA SANTOS – The actress got engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend Paolo Pilar after saying yes to his wedding proposal during their holiday trip to Japan.
Her now-fiancé posted a series of photos on his social media account along with a sweet message for her. She even showed off the engagement ring, as seen in the photos her partner posted online.
The engagement happened in front of Mt. Fuji in Lake Ashi, Hakone, Japan.
In the caption of his social media post, Paolo said that he met Katrina in Boracay 20 years ago and he finally asked her to be his wife. He also said that their family and friends were present at that time.
“20 years ago I met a wonderful woman named Katrina, in the beautiful island of Boracay,” Paolo said. “Today in 2024, I finally asked her to be my wife with our families, friends, and the majestic Fuji-San as witnesses.”
He went on to share a sweet message for his now-fiancée, saying that he has loved her for 20 years and he would continue to do so until his last breath.

To recall, Katya announced her In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) journey on her Facebook page last November 2023. The actress also asked for prayers for her successful pregnancy journey at that time.
But before the end of November, the actress shared that she underwent a Hysteroscopic Myomectomy surgery procedure. According to her, it was a successful procedure.
“Thankfully, tapos na po ang aking paghihirap kaya thank you guys for all your prayers and love. I love you all,” the actress said in a video she posted on her Facebook page last November.
