Actor Andrew Schimmer has shared that he is getting married soon. The wedding is scheduled for February 14, more than a year after the passing of his late partner.
Andrew revealed that he is tying the knot with his girlfriend Dimps Greenvilla during an interview with Julius Babao.

ANDREW SCHIMMER – The actor confirmed in an interview with Julius Babao that he’s tying the knot soon with his girlfriend, Dimps Greenvilla.
Andrew explained that he didn’t actively search for Dimps; instead, he saw her as a great blessing from God. He mentioned that Dimps came into his life at the perfect time when he was having a tough time finding someone to be a life partner.
“Blessing na blessing na blessing talaga ‘yung pagpasok niya kasi timing na timing.’Yung panahon ng pagpasok niya, ‘yun ‘yung mga panahong hirap na hirap na akong maghanap ng pwedeng katuwang sa buhay. Hindi ‘yung tutulong sa iyo physically, support system ba. Hindi naman sa naghahanap pero nag-iisip ako paano o kung anong direksyon ang pupuntahan namin kasi naaawa ako sa mga bata,” shared Andrew.
He also noticed that the children really wanted a mother figure in their lives. “Kaya itong pagpasok ni Mommy Dimps sa buhay namin, napaka-blessing talaga kasi right on time siya… Hindi ko naman siya hinahanap. Hindi namin pinuwersa ‘yung mga bagay-bagay,” added Andrew.
He felt like the Lord took pity on him and gave him someone to help raise their child. “Sabi niya siguro, ‘Anak sige eto na nga. Ito na nga. Awang awa na ako sa ‘yo,” Andrew shared.
Andrew and Dimps didn’t know each other initially, and Dimps didn’t know Andrew was a celebrity. They were introduced by a common friend who suggested that Andrew promote one of Dimps’ businesses. Despite a few failed attempts to meet, Andrew eventually made a video for her business, which initiated their conversation.
When asked about their wedding date, Andrew said he wants it on Valentine’s Day, and Julius and Tintin will be their godparents. “February 14. Sabi ko, ‘Why wait? Let’s do it na,” Andrew happily declared.
