DANIEL PADILLA and KATHRYN BERNARDO – The former couple is currently making a buzz online, particularly on X as “DanRyn.”
“KathNiel” is a portmanteau that refers to the popular Filipino showbiz love team composed of actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. They gained widespread recognition and a massive fan base for their on-screen chemistry and successful collaborations in television shows and films in the Philippines. The pair started working together on the television series “Growing Up” and later starred in various projects like “Princess and I,” “Got to Believe,” and “She’s Dating the Gangster,” among others.
It was on November 30 when Kathryn confirmed the end of her long-time relationship with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla. Sharing throwback photos and a heartfelt message on Instagram, she captioned it with “Chapter closed.” Daniel, in a subsequent Instagram post, shared a photo with Kathryn, expressing the significance of love in life.
Two women were implicated in the KathNiel breakup. Before the confirmation of their separation, Daniel had been linked to actress Andrea Brillantes. The rumors began when Ogie Diaz shared that a source had informed him about the two secretly seeing each other. This speculation gained momentum after Kathryn and Andrea unfollowed each other on Instagram. In addition to Andrea, Star Magic artist Gillian Vicencio was also linked to Daniel. However, she denied any involvement in the KathNiel breakup.
