The speculation intensified when Andrea and Kathryn Bernardo unfollowed each other on social media. Amid the tension, online interviews surfaced where Andrea boldly expressed her admiration for Daniel. This was followed by old photos of Andrea and Daniel emerging online, as the actress used to share pictures of their encounters.
Over time, rumors emerged suggesting that Andrea was not the reason for the KathNiel breakup, but rather Star Magic artist Gillian Vicencio. However, the latter and Marites University host DJ Jhaiho clarified that she had no involvement in the KathNiel split.
While the online community continued to discuss the celebrity breakup, a photo surfaced, with claims that it depicted Daniel Padilla and Andrea Brillantes. However, Jerome David, a participant in Kapatid’s noontime show EAT’s Mr. Cutie contest, clarified that he and his girlfriend were in the photo, not Daniel and Andrea.
Jerome emphasized this in a TikTok video, urging people not to believe in such rumors and not to be easily misled. “Sana huwag na nating pahabain yun and huwag tayong maniwala sa mga ganun. Huwag kayong pauto,” he said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, November 30, actress Kathryn Bernardo confirmed the end of her long-time relationship with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla. Sharing throwback photos and a heartfelt message on Instagram, she captioned it with “Chapter closed.” Daniel, in a subsequent Instagram post, shared a photo with Kathryn, expressing the significance of love in life.
