Kylie Padilla: “Medyo cliche eh, but I wish nagtira ako para sa sarili ko.“
KYLIE PADILLA – The actress recently shared what she learned from her relationship with actor Aljur Abrenica.
The actress is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso teleserye “Black Rider”. She appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where she talked about her breakup with her ex-husband.
At one point, Kylie was asked about the important lesson she learned following their breakup.
In an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda, the actress said that she wished she left some for herself because she gave her all in their relationship.
Kylie also shared that she told herself that she will still fight for her children because she made the promise of marriage, adding that she also came from a broken family. According to the actress, she made a promise to herself even though she went through postpartum problems.
Despite not believing in marriage before, Kylie shared that she gives great importance to the promise of marriage but she has no regrets when it comes to the fight that she waged just to save her and Aljur’s marriage.
The actress added that her children have a really good relationships with their father until now and the thing she doesn’t want her kids to go through is not having a dad or to feel like they don’t have a father.
“I don’t want to hold my ex, Aljur, in a negative light, never, ever,” Kylie said.
Kylie and Aljur got married in 2018, have two children, and broke up in 2021. Aljur later admitted in an interview on “Toni Talks” that he cheated on his ex-wife.
It can be recalled that Kylie Padilla released a podcast episode on her YouTube channel last September where she opened up about her bout with postpartum depression before her breakup with Aljur.
