Whitney Tyson ‘Jobless’ for a Year After “Ang Probinsyano”
Here’s an update about Whitney Tyson
WHITNEY TYSON – The comedian and actress recently shared that she has been unemployed for a year since her participation in the TV series ‘Ang Probinsiyano’ came to an end. It’s worth noting that Whitney played the character ‘Elizabeth’ in the series, which was led by Coco Martin.
In a previous interview, Whitney disclosed that she has been facing considerable financial challenges in supporting her family since leaving the series. She lamented, “Ito jobless pa rin, one year na. Mula nung natapos yung Ang Probinsyano hanggang ngayon, wala pa rin akong job, walang work.”
In an attempt to find assistance, Whitney reached out to Cory Vidanes, the Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast of ABS-CBN Corporation. She sought her help, but unfortunately, she hasn’t received a positive response from the executive. Whitney expressed her frustration, saying, “Tumatawag ako kay Tita Cory [Vidanes], sabi naman niya tutulungan ako, pero until now wala. Wala pa ring work.”
During the interview, Whitney also made an appeal to Coco Martin, emphasizing that he is aware of how many people rely on her as the breadwinner in her family.
As of the time of writing, Coco has not yet responded to Whitney’s message.
Meanwhile, Whitney Tyson, whose real name is Bunny Fowler, is an actress, singer, and comedian. She was born in Angeles, Pampanga, to an African-American father and a Filipino mother. Her stage name, Whitney Tyson, is a combination of the late singer Whitney Houston and former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson.
Despite initially facing racial discrimination due to her African-American heritage, she embraced her ethnicity and used it to her advantage in the entertainment industry. She typically played supporting roles as sidekicks or household helpers in various films and TV shows.
