Rendon Labador reacts to the victory of Gilas Pilipinas

RENDON LABADOR – The social media personality, expressed his happiness for Gilas Pilipinas while also criticizing coach Chot Reyes.

Gilas Pilipinas, the Philippines’ men’s national basketball team, made history by securing a gold medal in the 2022 Asian Games in China. They achieved this by defeating Team Jordan with a score of 70-60 in favor of the Philippines.

Among those who couldn’t contain their happiness over Gilas’ historic victory was none other than Rendon Labador. The social media personality took to Instagram to congratulate the Philippines’ men’s national basketball team.

However, he also took the opportunity to throw some shade at coach Chot Reyes, the former head coach of Gilas. He noted, “Edi nag-champion na tayo!” and added, “Buti na lang napa-resign natin si coach Chot. Panalo ang Pilipinas!”

It’s worth noting that during the FIBA World Cup, Rendon gained attention online for being a staunch critic of Reyes. He even called for Reyes’ resignation at one point. Eventually, Reyes did step down as the head coach of Gilas.

Tim Cone was appointed as the new head coach of Gilas Pilipinas, and their recent victory was attributed to his expertise. Cone is widely recognized as the “winningest” coach in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Meanwhile, Rendon Labador recently celebrated the reactivation of his official Facebook page. As a reminder, his FB account had been suspended, along with his TikTok, Twitter, and even his email, due to a mass reporting campaign initiated by internet users with grievances against him.

Upon his return to Facebook, he shared some photos of himself. In the caption, he exclaimed, “I’m back!!! Namiss nyo ba ako? Kumusta kayong lahat, Pilipinas??? Lab lab muna tayong lahat, ayos ba?”. In the comment section of his post, he stated, “Sarap pala sa pakiramdam na nagbago na #LabLabLabador.”
